2016 Arizona Cutting Horse Association
I am not a newbie for being and working around horse but I was newbie for photographing a Cutting Horse event. I had so much fun shooting and learning. And to talk about shooting under these conditions was a upward learning curve. I struggled with the north pen or pen 1. I just couldn't get it, until Sunday morning and then I photographed the most beautiful blue roan. What a beautiful creature but so intuitive with the cattle. I want to make one last comment. On Friday while I was shooting a cowboy came up and started talking, he helped me so much in what to shoot and not shoot. Look for the horse's expressions and shoot. He told me his name was Glen Brown from Winnipeg, Manitoba CA. The next day I saw the Canada cowboy's friend his last name was Steeves. I stopped Steeves and talked with him for a moment and told him about his friend Glen Brown. Glen Brown he said, well Glen is probably the best Cutt'in horse person to ride. Did he tell you he is in the Canada Hall of Fame for Riders. He is the best!
